History On Wheels Museum

Wheel

Are you interested in the contribution that people of color have made in the Great Wars? Our mobile history museum is an excellent and convenient way for everyone to learn more about how African American men helped to give you the freedoms that you enjoy today.

Our passion for military history

The History On Wheels team is extremely passionate about history and how people of color have devoted their lives to the cause for the United States of America. We love sharing this passion with people of all ages---men, women, teenagers, and children. You’ll find interesting information, something for everyone. There’s a lot of rich history that you may not know about and we’re excited to tell you more. You may be surprised at all of the things you can learn. We invite you to share this knowledge with others to spread the word about what people of color have done to protect the freedom of Americans.

Mobile museum for learning about the Great Wars

We have the lofty goal of showing people how important African Americans have been in the Great Wars, specifically related to the USA. How do we do it? We think our history should be accessible to everyone and we take our mobile military history museum to the streets! We make it easy for our history to spread across the state of Illinois.

The Great Wars and the contribution of people of color

People of color have contributed a great deal, before, during, and after the Great Wars. They’ve rarely been given the credit they deserve for dedicating their lives to the causes and freedoms that we Americans enjoy today. You’ll learn about the Civil War, WWI, WWII, and other wars, as well as military guns, planes, and important battlefields. What’s more, we make it a “live” experience, using props like food and weapons, and our team does reenactments with outfits inspired by the time period.
